1/6 - 1/7 ~ Western Idaho Fly Fishing Expo

An annual event for fly fishing enthusiasts from all over the region to learn about the latest techniques and gear, meet with expert anglers and participate in various workshops and seminars.

1/7 - 1/8 ~ Great Train Show 

Immerse yourself in the world of model trains. Held at Expo, Idaho in Boise, Idaho this event offers you an opportunity to explore a variety of model trains and railroad accessories.

1/7 ~ Idaho Steelheads

Help cheer on our local hockey team at the Idaho Central Arena as they compete against Wichita Thunder.

1/11~ Yoga on the Mountain

Free yoga sessions on the second floor of the Frontier Point Lodge at Bogus Basin. Stretch and relax while you enjoy the beautiful natural mountain surroundings.

1/14 ~ Mac & Cheese Festival

Annual festival in downtown Coeur d' Alene celebrating the delicious and cheesy comfort food that many of us love. Participants will get to sample signature custom mac and cheese dishes along with craft beers from several local chefs and vote on their favorites.

1/22 ~ Danger at Gatsby's Ball

An interactive murder mystery dinner experience held at Watson's Mystery Cafe & Spirits. This Boise venue is an 1800s English-style pub that offers entertainment while you enjoy delicious food and a full bar with craft cocktails and beer. The mystery scheduled for this evening is set in the height of the 1920s at the great Gatsby House.

1/27 - Verdi's Macbeth by Opera Idaho

Don't miss the chance to see Verdi's highly dramatic and energetic interpretation of the classic tale based off of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The opera tells the story of the warrior Macbeth, who is driven by ambition to commit terrible crimes after a group of witches predicts that he will become King of Scotland.

1/26 ~ Adult Paint with Penguins

Come to Zoo Boise for a unique painting experience with Magellanic penguins. You will be provided with a canvas to paint your own masterpiece as well as refreshments. The penguins will then join in to add their own artistic flair to the painting, which you will get to take home with you. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about penguins and create a one-of-a-kind artwork with them!

1/26 - 1/28 ~ Banff Film Festival

The Banff Mountain Film Festival will be held at the Egyptian Theater in downtown Boise for three nights, featuring a selection of films. This yearly event showcases films and documentaries from around the world that pertain to mountain culture, sports, the environment, and adventure and exploration.

1/27 - 2/5 ~ McCall Winter Carnival

Celebrate the winter season by touring this charming mountain town's creative ice sculptures, watching its annual Mardi Gras parade, and enjoying the fireworks over Payette Lake.
