Meridian, Idaho has over a dozen community or neighborhood parks for residents to enjoy. The two regional parks, Meridian Settlers Park and Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park, are favorite hotspots for locals. Both offer multiple covered picnic shelters, playgrounds, splash pads, fishing ponds, and walking paths. Settler’s Park also has 8 softball/baseball fields and a disc golf course. Every summer, Settler’s Park offers a free weekly family-friendly “Movie Night” event. The newest park, Kleiner Park, sits behind the Village at Meridian and is a great location to enjoy live concerts and local events with its amphitheater.
For decades, the Meridian Speedway has been an exciting venue for those that have a passion for racing and project cars. The Meridian Speedway hosts lap races, drag races, and demolition derbies from spring to fall. During special events, like the 4th of July, there is even a spectacular firework show to enjoy following the races.
