Sponsored by the local Lions Club, the celebration features a car show, a downtown festival, and an impressive firework show to close out the weekend. At Christmas time residents enjoy the Night Light Christmas Parade and tree lighting ceremony. The summer highlights a weekly farmer’s market which is open every weekend from May to September, providing fresh produce, handmade arts and crafts, as well as baked goods.

Cabalo’s Orchard is a family run orchard located in Kuna, Idaho, where you’ll find pesticide-free fruit and vegetables from early spring to late fall. Many of the local farms and orchards offer self-picking opportunities for blackberries, apples, pumpkins, and seasonal fruits. At Vogel Farms Country Market, you will find a different kind of shopping experience where you can choose local, pasture-fed beef, pork, chicken, eggs, and turkey. For outdoor enthusiasts, opportunities abound in Kuna, Idaho. Not far away you will find the Snake River Canyon Overlook Trail, which follows the Snake River for 12 miles between Swan Falls Dam and Celebration Park. As you reach the area near Celebration Park, you will find petroglyphs that date between 100 and 10,000 years old, and then continue between large boulders, to the historic Guffy Railroad Bridge. Built in 1897, the bridge now serves as a walking bridge to provide access to the south side of the Snake River. The park offers a campground, visitor center, and boat launch.
Not far from Swan Falls Dam is Idaho’s Initial Point. This butte contains a brass marker and was chosen by Idaho’s first surveyor in 1867 to be the reference point for all land in the State of Idaho. Therefore, the coordinates, legal descriptions, and borders for all of Idaho’s land is established based on its orientation from this small rural site south of Kuna.
Another point of interest is the unique underground cave system south of Kuna known as the Kuna Caves. The caves were formed from volcanic lava flow and were believed to provide underground access to the Snake River. Unfortunately, the cave is no longer available for public access. Yet, the community gives homage to the landmark through the town's high school mascot, the Kuna Cavemen.
If you enjoy bird watching, you will love Dedication Point Overlook. Overlooking the Snake River Canyon, Dedication Point is a great place to spot birds of prey. An easy quarter-mile trail leads to the canyon rim, and interpretive panels provide information about the surrounding area and plant life. Be sure to take binoculars, as the views from the canyon rim are breathtaking. This area is included in the Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area, a designation established by Congress to protect the highest density of nesting raptors in North America. Over twenty species of raptors can be seen nesting on Guffey Butte, including Golden Eagles. Kuna, Idaho is a popular bird-watching destination, known as the “Gateway to The Birds of Prey.”
